The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry is housed in TCU’s Sid. W. Richardson Hall. This space was extensively renovated in Summer 2011, providing state-of-the-art research and teaching facilities. The department has extensive, modern instrumentation. Standout department resources include two 400MHz multinuclear NMR instruments, LC-MS mass spectrometry resources, iTC-200 and DSC-1 calorimeters, standard imaging tools including TEM, SEM, and AFM, and extensive computational resources. Detailed instrumentation lists are maintained at our Departmental Instrumentation page.
TCU’s Mary Couts Burnett library, including online resources and personnel, is considered a strength by the chemistry faculty.
